MA, Professional Counseling Associate
I'm a Professional Counseling Associate seeing clients in Oregon.
My goal as your therapist is to provide you with a secure and receptive space for free expression so you can open up and embrace your most authentic self. Together, we will work through obstacles, discover your strengths, and empower you to embrace a more fulfilling life.
I specialize working with older teens, college students, folks in life transitions, and those with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. I also support folks who are moving through grief and loss, developing skills for stress management, working on building self-confidence and self-love, as well as a variety of other issues.
My approach to therapy is holistic, providing support that nurtures the multifaceted being you are, and acknowledging that physical, social, and spiritual wellness all contribute to positive mental health and personal growth. I focus on helping clients build resilience, hone their strengths, and become more attuned to their inner wisdom.
The evidenced based therapeutic approaches I utilize in treatment as needed include:
I graduated from Pacific University with my Master's in Counseling Psychology where I specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychology. I've obtained an advanced training certification for Adoption and Foster Family therapy from Portland State University, completed all trainings for the ADHD Clinical Services Provider Certification Course through Evergreen, completed Brainspotting Phases 1 & 2 and am Certified in Brainspotting.
Over the course of my career, I have worked in psychiatric day treatment for adolescents, school-based group, family, and individual therapy, as well as crisis intervention with youth and adults.
My professional background has provided me with invaluable experience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. I maintain an alternative-family friendly and poly-aware practice, demonstrating a commitment to embracing unique and diverse lifestyles. I warmly welcome non-conformists, creatives, and those who embrace unconventional cultural pursuits.
Whether you're embarking on a path of self-discovery, seeking new coping skills, overcoming a big change or difficult life event, or just want someone to talk to about your "stuff", I might be able to help.
