About Sharad

Hi, I'm Sharad Yadav (he/him), an LPC Associate passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, navigate neurodivergence, and reconnect with their emotional selves. I bring a relational, attuned presence to therapy, combining insight, acceptance, and mindful exploration to support your growth.

Specializations

I support individual adults navigating chronic PTSD, racial, religious and neurodiverse identity exploration, relational struggles and existential crisis with warmth, curiosity, and a focus on deep emotional transformation.

I work primarily with adults who are processing developmental wounds, attachment injuries, and issues related to identity, including religious, racial and neurodiverse trauma. I also support individuals in helping professions, navigating anxiety, and seeking to strengthen self-compassion and emotional regulation.

My Approach

In therapy, I bring a warm, collaborative, and emotionally attuned style. Clients often describe our work together as supportive, deep, and grounding. I integrate Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care to help clients build resilience, heal relational wounds, and live more fully in their values.

Education & Experience

I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, together with degrees in theology and history. I also carry a certification in professional spiritual direction. I am currently practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Toloyo (Lic.#1799), actively engaged in advanced clinical training in AEDP and psychoanalysis to continually deepen my work.

Outside of Work

Outside of therapy, I love reading in areas of philosophy and culture, listening to punk rock, playing video games with my partner and squeezing one of the several golden doodles who share my home. I'm committed, in both life and therapy, to creating a safe, affirming, and compassionate space where others feel truly welcome.
